The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident contacted police about a neighbor “burning things that should not be burned.” Police learned that other city officials were handling the matter. A verbal argument broke out between two men in the Wal-Mart parking lot. One had left by the time officers arrived, and police found that one man was upset because the other had parked in a slot reserved for bank parking. Employees at Rainbow Foods contacted police about an unattended suitcase and duffel bag outside the entrance. Inside the luggage police found a bottle of Ambien and items from the Red Roof Inn. Police checked motel records and found that the owner of the items had checked out earlier that day. Workers …

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Tailpipes and scrapers (valued at nearly $1,500 together) were reported stolen from two dump trucks at a construction site at Bailey Road and Mile Drive. Workers at St. Croix Cleaners called police after someone dropped off a coat with blood and dirt on it. Police made contact with the coat’s owner, who said she and her husband were jumped by a group of men while at Club Cancun on April 14. She had visible injuries and a report was on file with the St. Paul Police Department. Two people were arrested near Interstate 94 and Radio Drive after reports of suspicious situations at Home Depot and JCPenney led police to pull over their car. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. After being called about a suspicious man near the intersection of Eyrie and Golf drives, police learned that he was geocaching. A $300 bicycle was reported stolen from Woodbury Lutheran Church. The bike had been locked to a pole at the church. A report of mail fraud involving stolen checks and possibly pornographic photos was forwarded to the Woodbury Police Department’s investigations unit. A drunken man located near Tahoe and Lake roads had nowhere to go, and he was transported to Ramsey County detox without incident. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Officers responded to an apartment building where two roommates were arguing. One was planning to file a restraining order against the other. A resident called police because a man took a laptop out of his bag and placed it on a table at Starbucks, then went out to his truck and got more equipment and moved to a different table. Police contacted employees, who said no police response was necessary. A worker at Burger King called police after a man was yelling at two juvenile females because they had apparently spilled water on him. The man threatened another family, got into his car and left. The Woodbury High School graduate successfully returned from a knee injury in his March 23 win.
Kyle Todd, the Woodbury mixed-martial arts fighter, notched a victory in his Saturday, March 23, return to the cage following a knee injury. Todd, who trains at Spartan Martial Arts in Oakdale, won a unanimous decision from judges (30-27) in the three-round bout, according to MN MMA News. The win bumped his record to 5-2 as an amateur. The win over Branden Bell, fighting out of La Crosse, Wis., came at the High Five Bar and Grill in Burnsville. They fought at 165 pounds. MN MMA News called it a “dominating performance” for Todd, who showed off his wrestling skills via numerous takedowns during the fight. Todd was a wrestler at Woodbury High School. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident called police about a man at the 6000 block of Lake Road who went up to a house, tried the doors, and then tried to flag down vehicles. Police located the man, who said he was lost and stopped to ask for help. A Wal-Mart manager flagged down an officer at about 7:45 p.m. after an employee showed up for work drunk. The manager sent the worker home for the day but saw him walking toward his vehicle. Police made contact with the man, who showed signs of intoxication, admitted to drinking, performed poorly on field-sobriety tests, and registered a .203 on a preliminary breath test. The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A resident who received several phone calls from a person requesting cash was advised not to send any and use *67 to get the number and forward it to police. A home at the 900 block of Autumn Drive, which had been vacant for months, had a light on inside, and a resident called police about it. Officers determined an attorney for the estate may have entered the home. Police were called about a domestic dispute at the 2400 block of Cobble Hill Alcove. Both parties denied a physical assault occurred, but neither said they would leave the home. They eventually agreed to stay in separate areas of the residence and go to sleep. A Woodbury teacher who keeps in touch with a former student called police after seeing threatening messages on his Facebook page, apparently related to a post-secondary course he was taking. He had missed two classes and was dropped, costing him $2,000. Police made contact with the man, who said there were no problems. Woodbury High School graduate Kyle Todd hits the cage next month.
Woodbury fighter Kyle Todd will head back to the cage in March after recovering from an injury that sidelined him for a few months. Todd, who wrestled at Woodbury High School, is an up-and-comer in the world of mixed martial arts, and last spring secured a local amateur title following a fight at the Target Center.
