The store is shooting for a June opening at the former Blockbuster location.
Woodbury will have another addition to the self-serve frozen yogurt game this summer. Freeziac is looking to open this June in the former Blockbuster location off Valley Creek Road, co-owner John Mallon told Patch on Thursday. It follows the recent opening of CherryBerry at Tamarack Village. Mallon said the lease was signed last week and Freeziac will take over a portion of the space. Reconstruction will likely begin in a month and Freeziac will open 6-8 weeks later, he said. Freeziac gives customers the chance to create their own frozen treats, with options ranging from fresh fruit and nuts to candy and hot fudge. “You build your own sundae,” Mallon said. “It’s that experience that makes it so fun.” The other co-owners are his wife Joanne…

The shop, set to open in Tamarack Village, lets people create their own frozen concoctions.
Think it would be fun to mix up your own frozen treat? You’ll soon have the chance: CherryBerry Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt is set to open in Woodbury by the end of the month. The Woodbury shop is scheduled to open in Tamarack Village on March 29, said Dan Nelson, 34, who runs all the Minnesota CherryBerry stores. CherryBerry shops have 12-16 flavors of frozen yogurt and about 50 toppings for customers to choose from, Nelson said. There will be fresh fruit, cut daily, he said. “But we’ll still have cookie dough and candy pieces,” Nelson said. “It’s a great product—not what I remember about frozen yogurt as a youngster.” The store will seat about 75 people inside and 20 outside during warm-weather months, he said. Thirty to 40 people will be …
