Juvenile with Airsoft Gun Causes Stir in Woodbury Neighborhood

Police set up a perimeter near the home Tuesday night.

By the time it was over, the family's decision was clear: they planned to sell the airsoft gun. Woodbury police at about 7:35 p.m. Tuesday received a call about someone on the deck of a home wearing a mask and possibly pointing a rifle at traffic, said Michelle Okada, public safety spokeswoman. The home is off Lake Road near Radio and Pioneer drives, she said. Police set up a perimeter at the scene, but quickly realized it was a juvenile with an airsoft rifle and there was no threat, Okada said. Officers did speak to the child and mother about city ordinances and the dangers of the situation. They told police they planned to sell the gun, Okada said. Man Who Accidentally Donated Gun to Goodwill: ‘Pure Panic’

Goodwill officials say they have not found the pistol.

Armed at Chipotle, Nice Neighbors, Bye-Bye buybuy Baby?: Woodbury Police Blotter

Selected calls to the Woodbury Public Safety Department from Oct. 24-28.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.  A political sign was reported stolen from a home at the 1800 block of Bowsens Lane. It was the second time it happened there. It has been an ongoing problem in the city. A relationship that ended poorly apparently led to a Woodbury man’s phone number being posted in several spots on Craigslist under bogus accounts. Police contacted the ex, who accused him of creating a “spoofing number” that called her hundreds of times a day. A woman called police to ask if she could walk her dog while a helicopter was in the area about another issue.
