Tickets Still Available for ‘White Christmas’

The East Ridge High School performances were sold out, or very nearly sold out, during the opening weekend.

Opening weekend for East Ridge High School’s White Christmas was a success. Performances were either sold out, or close to being sold out, according to Jimmy Stocco III, technical director. Celebrating the Season at Woodbury Lakes

The mall’s annual Holiday Open House is on tap for Saturday.

Woodbury Lakes will host its annual Holiday Open House from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.  The event features: Meanwhile, Woodbury resident and children’s author Deborah Larson will read her latest book, One Frozen Lake. Afterward, she’ll be on hand to sign copies.        Related: Woodbury Woman Pens Children's Book on Ice Fishing The evening culminates with WCCO meteorologist Chris Shaffer—a Woodbury resident who recently won a Midwest Emmy—welcoming Santa as he arrives on a fire truck escorted by the Woodbury Fire Department, plus the lighting of Woodbury Lakes’ live 30-foot tree and a fireworks display set to holiday music. Video: Woodbury Community Theatre To Present ‘A Christmas Carol’

The local theater group was rehearsing Tuesday for its upcoming performances, which begin Friday.

Woodbury Community Theatre will present the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol starting Friday at The Loft Stage at East Ridge High School. Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10, with a 3 p.m. show on Dec. 4. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (65 and older) and $10 for youth 5-17. Kids under 5 years old get in free. Tickets are available at the door and online on the Woodbury Community Theatre website. Woodbury Community Theatre will be collecting items for Tubman during each performance. Items needed include: baby and toddler supplies (diapers, sippy cups, socks), winter hats, boots, socks, gloves and scarves, gift cards (Wal-Mart, Target, Cub, Rainbow, etc.), socks and underwear (for women and …

Holiday Happenings in Woodbury

Looking for some holiday cheer? Here are Patch's suggestions for a few fun and festive holiday events in and around Woodbury.

Looking for something fun to do with the family this holiday season? Woodbury Patch went out looking for a few ideas. Woodbury High School Holiday Choir Concert This popular annual event will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Dec. 20, at Woodbury High School.  Young singers from the school's Viva Voce ensemble, along with the Chamber Singers, Varsity Choir, Concert Choir and Choralaires will all be featured. A variety of holiday music, geared toward bringing on the spirit of Christmas, includes traditional choral works such as Gloria from Vivaldi's Gloria, O Pastorelle and Addio. Composer Moses Hogan's spiritual Glory, Glory, Glory to the Newborn King and Sleep by Eric Whitacre will be presented, along with several traditional carols. …
