Another Burglary Charge for Woodbury Woman

Christine Celeste Burtman was recently linked to a burglary in Lake Elmo.

Christine Celeste Burtman has been charged with another burglary. The latest felony charge stems from a September 2012 incident in Lake Elmo in which a homeowner told police he had an odd run in with Burtman at his home and later learned his mother-in-law's wedding ring was missing. Burtman, 46, was arrested in Woodbury on Jan. 23 after a resident called police when Burtman allegedly tried to enter the house while the resident was home. She was later charged with two counts of attempted burglary, along with a burglary charge in connection with a Jan. 4 crime in Marine on St. Croix. Update: Police Believe Suspect May Be Connected to Other Woodbury Residential Burglaries

A woman was arrested Wednesday in Woodbury’s Homestead Hills neighborhood.

Police believe a woman arrested in Woodbury’s Homestead Hills neighborhood Wednesday may be tied to other residential burglaries in the city. Investigators are “still trying to figure out how extensive those connections are,” said Michelle Okada, Woodbury Police spokeswoman. The suspect, Christine Celeste Burtman, will be charged with two counts of attempted burglary and a count of possessing burglary tools, along with a parole violation, Okada said. Suspect Arrested on Suspicion of Burglary in Woodbury’s Homestead Hills

One resident was home Wednesday afternoon when the suspect tried to enter her house.

An individual was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Woodbury on suspicion of burglary. Police got the call about a suspicious situation in the city’s Homestead Hills neighborhood at about 12:30 p.m., said Woodbury Police spokeswoman Michelle Okada. As of Wednesday afternoon, police were unsure whether the suspect gained entry to multiple homes, she said, and authorities were still deciding what she may be charged with. The person was arrested along Greenbriar Lane, in the neighborhood near the Bielenberg Sports Center.
