For their sales acumen, more than 40 Middleton Elementary students got to ride in a limousine and snack on some free ice cream last week. They were among the school’s students who sold more than 25 items as part of a fundraiser through the Chip Shoppe that netted more than $17,000 for the elementary school’s PTO. “Not bad for selling wrapping paper and cookie dough,” said Jamie Kuebler, PTO member. In a few trips on Friday, Nov. 16, students got to ride in a stretch Hummer limo to Yum! Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe, which recently opened in Woodbury’s Eagle Valley Marketplace. Yum! Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe is now open in the former Angelina’s Kitchen space.
After two frozen yogurt shops opened in Woodbury in recent months, a new ice cream and candy shop is offering another option for those with a sweet tooth. Yum! Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe opened Nov. 4 in the former Angelina’s Café space in the Eagle Valley Marketplace off Woodbury Drive. The independents sweet shop also sells coffee and baked goods, and will soon be expanding its selection.
