Woodbury Man Accused of Selling Stolen Jewelry Tells Police He Spent Money on ‘Stupid’ Stuff

Isiah Keith Beatty, 19, faces felony theft charges after he allegedly stole jewelry from his girlfriend’s mother.

After an Afton woman had more than $6,000 worth of jewelry go missing, her daughter told police they might want to investigate her boyfriend.  Now, Isiah Keith Beatty, 19, of Woodbury, faces felony theft charges and up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted. Authorities on July 13 were dispatched to a home at the 500 block of Fahlstram Place, where a woman said she noticed several pieces of jewelry were missing, including four rings, six necklaces and two bracelets, according to the criminal complaint. Together, the jewelry was valued at $6,189. The woman’s daughter told police she had recently started dating Beatty and “wouldn’t count him out” regarding the missing items. Courts: Man Punched After Refusing to Give Assailant a Cigarette at Woodbury Bar

Elsewhere, police suspected man in gas drive-offs and found meth in his car and wallet.

A St. Paul man has been charged with felony assault in connection with an April fight at a Woodbury restaurant. Randy Paul Pfeffer, 29, allegedly punched a man who refused to give him a cigarette. The victim and two relatives were playing darts at Throwbacks Bar and Grill when he went outside for a smoke. Pfeffer asked him for a cigarette. The victim refused and was suddenly punched on the left side of his face, according to the criminal complaint. The man told police that he was "seeing stars" for a moment. Pfeffer has a criminal history. He was convicted of gross misdemeanor domestic assault in April 2008 and felony domestic assault in April 2009. He faces five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for the April incident in Woodbury. Drug …
