Former Hill-Murray football coach Mark Mauer, who lived in Woodbury and resigned from his two posts at the school amid prostitution allegations, has agreed to a continuance for dismissal, according to a FOX9 report. That means he will not be convicted as long as he pays $500 in court costs and takes a “Breaking Free” class within the next month and a half, the report says. Mauer was arrested in Fridley in February as part of a two-day police operation at a motel. One of 19 men arrested, he was charged with a misdemeanor, booked at the Anoka County Jail and released. Mark Mauer, the Hill-Murray School football coach who was charged last week following a prostitution sting in Fridley, has resigned, according to multiple reports. The 54-year-old from Woodbury was charged with a misdemeanor in connection with the two-day police operation at a Fridley hotel. He was booked at the Anoka County Jail and released. Investigators are preparing the cases for the city prosecutor. Mauer resigned as both the football coach and major-gifts officer, according to the Star Tribune.
