Selected calls to the Woodbury Public Safety Department from Jan. 22-28.
The following information was obtained from recent police reports. An $8,000 trailer that was stolen from a construction site at the 1600 block of Deephaven Drive turned up at a park in Anoka County, along with another stolen vehicle out of Vadnais Heights. About $20,000 in equipment was reported missing from the trailer. A home had its garage service door broken down but nothing was missing from the home. The battery of a Ford Taurus parked at Outback Steakhouse was stolen. A vehicle stolen out of Hudson, Wis., turned up at the 500 block of Gateway Place. Police recently responded to calls about an injured raccoon, a loose bull, road rage and some juvenile pranks in Woodbury.
The following information was obtained from recent police reports. Police were called to Jo-Ann in Tamarack Villiage on March 24 about an attempted burglary. The lock on the front door had been damaged, and police found the tip of a small screwdriver in the lock’s core. Officers responded to a call about an injured raccoon at the 6600 block of Stratford Alcove on March 24. The caller said the raccoon had sustained an injury to one of its back legs and was acting aggressively on his deck. The animal was put down. Security officers at Woodbury Lakes called police on March 24 to report that five females were shoplifting at several stores. Other Woodbury crime of late includes threats vandalism, shoplifting and credit card theft.
Woodbury police last week were able to track a suspect’s footprints to a home where authorities later discovered stolen goods and arrested a man in connection with recent garage break-ins. While officers were investigating a theft-from-vehicle report at the 2400 block of Wimbledon Bay, another resident approached officers about items missing from her nearby garage, according to police reports. There have been other reports of garage break-ins in the area. Police followed the tracks for several blocks, said Woodbury Cmdr. Steve Wills.
