Police: Murder Victim Worked as Prostitute; Woodbury Man to be Charged Friday

The teenager’s body was found in a car in a Columbia Heights impound lot last month. Alberto Prece Palmer, 23, was arrested in Woodbury on Wednesday night.

The arrest of suspect Alberto Prece Palmer at his Woodbury home followed an investigation into ads Clardy placed in Backpage.com, along with information from several cell phones found in the car in which her body was discovered. Her body was found in a vehicle towed to Columbia Heights impound lot in February. Police arrested Palmer, 23, at about 7 p.m. …

Fund Established for Woman After Laptop Sparked Fire at Woodbury Townhome

Her sister told Patch that US Bank is in charge of the fund.

A fund has been set up for Woodbury resident Cheri Rose, whose townhome caught fire Jan. 15 after a laptop computer was left charging on her couch. The US Bank donation system is expected to be up and running in the next day or two, according to Cindy Spreiter, Rose’s sister. Firefighters were called to the at the 8600 block of Quarry Ridge Lane at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday while Rose was away at work. A neighbor told authorities the smell of smoke had been in the air since about 10 a.m. that morning, Woodbury Fire Cmdr.
