Woodbury Councilman Wary of Capital Purchase for Eagle Valley Golf Course
The City Council recently approved buying 55 new golf carts for the municipal course.
The Woodbury City Council on Nov. 14 moved ahead with the purchase of 55 new golf carts (and one beverage cart) for the Eagle Valley Golf Course. But it didn’t come without opposition—Councilman Christopher Burns voted against the item, which he had pulled from the consent agenda. The municipal course has been under the eye of the city council as it works to keep up with Eagle Valley’s debt service and capital improvements. Burns noted that the city plans to check back on the course in three years and questioned if Woodbury should have looked at leasing carts instead of buying them outright. It might have made sense to look at a 3 year lease with buy-out or trade-in/sell back options.   more ›
