It's as if as soon as you think of a beer, everyone wants to scream "alcoholic!!!" at you. One of the many reasons I'm glad I moved here to Germany.   more ›

Five Guys Burgers Opens North Of Woodbury

The long-anticipated burger joint opened in Oakdale on Friday.

Oakdale’s newest restaurant—Five Guys Burgers and Fries—held its ribbon cutting and grand opening Friday. “A lot of people are excited,” said Oakdale Mayor Carmen Sarrack. “This is  a great addition to the city.” Plenty of people in Woobury have also asked about the new burger joint, which marks the fourth Five Guys restaurant in the Twin Cities. And more are planned, according to a press release. District manager Ryan Dussault said they chose the spot in Oakdale—near Baja Sol Tortilla Grill in Oakdale Village—because of the opportunity for synergy with the other businesses in the area. “We love the visibility,” he said. “It’s a beautiful building … and we wanted to get on the east side.” The Oakdale restaurant is the first Twin Cities …
