Woodbury Man Allegedly Threatens to Cut Off Wife’s Face With a Razor Blade

Robert John Krohn faces a felony charge of making terroristic threats.

A Woodbury man faces a felony charge of making terroristic threats after he allegedly told his wife he wanted to cut off her face, cut out her eyes and put a bullet in her head. Robert John Krohn, 52, was arrested Jan. 19 after Woodbury police responded to a report of a domestic incident at a home on Lydia Lane. Officers arrived, heard yelling inside, and entered the home and separated Krohn and his wife, according to the criminal complaint. She told police that Krohn had punched holes in the walls and told her it could be her head, the complaint says. He told her he wanted to cut off her face with a razor blade, cut her eyes out and put a bullet in her head, according to the complaint. As the incident escalated, the wife called a friend …

Rumors of Violence in Schools Unfounded, Says District 833

South Washington County Schools on Friday posted a note on its website regarding rumors about violence in schools. Below is the statement in full. Schools in the district are working through rumors having to do with violence in our schools supposedly happening today. All rumors have been unfounded. After thorough follow through with our local police departments, we are confident that the schools will be safe today. My son had a bug out bag with supplies ready to somewhat survive if left alone. I applaud hisplanning, but it needs to involve additional critical thinking. Woodbury PD Blotter: Squirrel Burglar, Lego Larceny, Trash Tossing

Selected calls to the Woodbury Police Department from Feb. 23-29.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A home at the 1700 block of Colby Lake Drive was burglarized after thieves entered through an open garage door. A GPS unit was taken from a vehicle in the garage and two wallets were stolen from the inside of the home. A known shoplifter seen stealing items from Archiver's Scrapbooking Store was trespassed from the store, though employees did not want to press charges against the woman for taking a hole puncher and stamp set. A resident at the 700 block of Markgrafs Lake Draw told police of a phone call she received from a man claiming to be her grandson; he said he was in Bolivia and needed money wired. Federal Grand Jury Investigates Possible Twitter Threats Against Bachmann

The judge in the case says the tweets are “extremely crude and in almost incomprehensible poor taste.”

A federal grand jury is investigating a man who used Twitter to allegedly threaten Sixth District Congresswoman Michele Bachmann while she was on the presidential campaign trail. The Twitter user allegedly “professed desire to engage in sadomasochistic activities with” Bachmann, according to a 13-page ruling U.S. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth released Thursday. The judge in the case says the tweets are “extremely crude and in almost incomprehensible poor taste.” According to a post on Bring Me the News, the judge said the person responsible would likely not face charges because the messages would not constitute a “true threat” to the congresswoman. Woodbury PD Blotter: Aug. 19-23

Several vehicle break-ins reported recently, plus vandalism and threats between neighbors.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. The driver-side window of a vehicle parked at the 6900 block of Ashwood Road was broken and the car stereo was reported stolen on Aug. 19. During the overnight hours of Aug. 18-19, syrup was poured on the front of a home at the 3300 block of Hazel Trail. The home was also egged, and baking powder and cheese was thrown on the home. Two gallons of fuel was siphoned from a lawn mower that a resident at the 2500 block of Manning Avenue is selling. The incident happened during the overnight hours of Aug. 18-19. Police recently responded to calls of burglary, assault, paintball complaints and slashed tires.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. A 3M employee’s identification badge and cell phone charger were reported missing July 15 after a car parked at the 1900 block of Evergreen Echo was rifled through. An iPod Nano and golf clubs valued at $2,000 were reported stolen from a locked vehicle parked at the 3500 block of Hazel Trail on July 15. A pack of cigarettes not belonging to the vehicle’s owner was left behind. A resident at the 10400 block of Golden Eagle Circle called police July 15 to report that garbage had been strewn about the home’s yard. An officer found about 30 packing peanuts. Residents near the 2400 block of Prairie Oak Trail called police July 15 after a small tree was struck by lightning. …

Woodbury Man Charged For Allegedly Brandishing Pistol

The 47-year-old told his wife’s ex-husband that he would shoot him, according to the criminal complaint.

A Woodbury man was charged with making terroristic threats in Washington County District Court on July 12 after allegedly brandishing a handgun and threatening to shoot someone. Thomas John McGillis, 47, faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine stemming from charges related to a July 10 incident in Woodbury. According to the criminal complaint: Woodbury police were called to a home at the 2400 block of Queensport Road, where the alleged victim was picking up his daughter for a visitation. After he and his daughter went to the car, he went back to the house to speak with his ex-wife when he was confronted by McGillis, the woman’s new husband. Updated: Woodbury School Locked Down After Threats Discovered

The incident happened at Crosswinds Arts and Science School Tuesday morning.

Crosswinds Arts and Science School in Woodbury was locked down this morning after a teacher spotted a threat written on a white board in the school's media center. The message contained threats against specific students, according to a release from the East Metro Integration District, of which Crosswinds is a member school. The school went into a lockdown mode, meaning no one was let in or out and 911 was called, Mary Ojile, an executive assistant with the East Metro Integration District (EMID), told Woodbury Patch. I wonder how parents reacted to the fact that students at Crosswinds are depressed and have to respond to the threats like that? I believe a deeper investigation of what is happening in this school should take place instead of putting blame on a child who came to Crosswinds attracted by a false missions and visions that never found their way into the classrooms.   more ›

The following information was obtained from recent police reports. The window of a locked vehicle at the 1100 block of Autumn Drive was broken on Jan. 13 and a backpack containing books and a computer hard drive was reported stolen. Employees at EcoWater Systems in Woodbury called police on Jan. 13 to report that a worker there had been making false allegations in the workplace. The employee accused of making the allegations also told a coworker to “watch your back.” The owner of Rocco’s Pizza told police on Jan. 13 that a female customer staying at the Red Roof Inn had passed bad checks with the Woodbury restaurant. Police responded a rollover accident with injures at Interstate 94 and Radio Drive on Jan. 13. The driver sustained minor …
