A man was recently sentenced following a conviction for selling $400 worth of crack cocaine in Woodbury. Demontrea Jeremiah Muskon Davis, 21, was given a year in jail (with credit for 87 days served) and a stayed 15-month prison sentence, along with other conditions of his parole. At about 6 p.m. on July 30, 2012, Davis sold $400 in crack cocaine to a buyer during a meet at the Green Mill in Woodbury, according to the complaint. When arrested, Davis had the cash on him, and the cocaine had a packaged weight of 1.1 grams. An Apple Valley man suspected of being a major drug dealer in Washington County was arrested in Woodbury earlier this month and now faces a felony drug charge. Dmitry Anatolyevich Sorkin, 27, allegedly sold $1,500 worth of cocaine to a Washington County Narcotics Unit informant near the intersection of Valley Creek Road and Radio Drive on Dec. 12, according to the criminal complaint. The informant purchased more than two ounces of the drug—and made plans to buy another four ounces later—following an investigation that led authorities to believe Sorkin was “distributing and selling large amounts of cocaine in the Washington County area,” the complaint says. About $400 worth of cocaine and a 12-pack of beer were exchanged in last week’s drug deal that resulted in the arrest of two men. That’s part of the criminal complaint against Veasna Phan, 30, of St. Paul, who was apprehended after allegedly selling cocaine to another man in Woodbury. At about 6 p.m. on Aug. 15, Phan sold an “8-ball” of cocaine to the man, according to the complaint. They initially agreed to meet at the SuperAmerica off Lake Road in Woodbury, but Phan thought it was “too hot” and demanded the buyer go into Haskell’s Liquor Store and purchase a 12-pack of Corona, the complaint says. A homeless man was arrested and charged for allegedly selling cocaine at a Woodbury restaurant.
A homeless man, recently arrested by police for allegedly selling cocaine, now faces charges. According to a criminal complaint, Demontra Davis is facing fourth-degree drug charges for selling 1.1 grams of coke. Police say Davis met a buyer at Green Mill in Woodbury and proceeded to sell the drugs for $400. Police arrested Davis outside the restaurant with the money in his pocket. According to the criminal complaint, Davis admitted to police he sold the drugs because he is homeless and needed the money. The incident happened at the end of July. The Washington County Narcotics Task Force on Wednesday arrested two men who now face second-degree drug charges.
Two men were arrested Wednesday evening on Lake Road in Woodbury on second-degree drug sale charges. The Washington County Narcotics Task Force, as part of a "routine investigation," took Veasna Phan, 30, and Chamrouen Phan, 29, into custody at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near SuperAmerica, said Sgt. Andy Ellickson with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Between 4 and 5 grams of cocaine was found, Ellickson said. Both men have been charged. He was unsure if they were related. The apprehension was routine, Ellickson said, though due of the nature of the arrest one lane of traffic was blocked off as authorities checked for weapons and made the arrests. An 18-year-old Woodbury man faces felony drug charges after he allegedly sold a confidential informant more than four grams of cocaine. Anthony Michael Kautz was recently charged by the Washington County Attorney’s Office with second-degree sale of a controlled substance. According to the criminal complaint, Kautz on Oct. 4 sold 4.1 grams of cocaine to an informant wearing a wire during a controlled buy in Oak Park Heights. During the deal, a detective with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force heard Kautz tell the informant he was “deeply involved with two drug dealers” and could get “multiple types of controlled substances,” the complaint states. Law enforcement agencies in Ramsey, Washington and Dakota counties in December 2011 got a tip that they would find a large amount of marijuana at a Woodbury home. In fact, officers found dozens of bags containing the drug—more than 35 pounds of marijuana, along with 92 grams cocaine, a large amount of cash and other drug paraphernalia, according to the criminal complaint.
