Complaint: Woodbury Police Find 10 Ounces of Marijuana While Executing Search Warrant

A man faces a felony charge following the arrest earlier this month.

A tip from a neighbor about drug activity in Woodbury led police to more than 10 ounces of marijuana and $2,410 in cash. Jermaine Loius Avil Scott, 25, has been charged with a felony count of selling drugs in connection with a Jan. 5 search warrant executed at the 2500 block of Cornelia Trail in Woodbury. Woodbury police were tipped about possible drug deals at the residence, and when officers arrived they smelled a strong odor of marijuana, according to the criminal complaint. Under a mattress upstairs—where Scott was found—police found six bags of marijuana, and more bags containing the drug were discovered in a kitchen drawer, along with a scale and $2,410 in cash, the complaint says. Woodbury Man Charged for Selling Marijuana

The defendant told authorities he sells about two pounds of the drug a week.

A 21-year-old Woodbury man was recently charged in Washington County District Court with felony drug trafficking. Jacob Kenneth Rehling sold drugs to a confidential informant for the Woodbury Police Department in February 2010 and authorities later a discovered scales, baggies, approximately one half ounce of marijuana in one baggie and another baggie with a small amount of marijuana, according to the criminal complaint. The informant told police there was often up to two pounds of the drug at the home, on the 2300 block of Cypress Drive.
