Charges: Man Threatens Newspaper Deliveryman with Baton: 'You Ready for This Bro?'

A 20-year-old Woodbury man allegedly threatened a Pioneer Press newspaper deliveryman with a "whip it stick" after a road-rage incident in the area of Eagle View Boulevard and Settler's Ridge Drive

A 20-year old Woodbury man has been charged with a felony after he allegedly threatened to beat a newspaper deliveryman with a baton. Woodbury police were called to the area of Eagle View Boulevard and Settler's Ridge Drive on Nov. 11 at about 5 a.m., for a report of a road-rage incident. When police arrived, a Pioneer Press newspaper deliveryman told police he was driving his vehicle very slowly in the area of Eagle View Boulevard, so he could see the addresses. According to the complaint: While delivering the papers, the man told police an unknown vehicle approached his vehicle from the rear and began tailgating him. Woodbury Man Given 20 Days In Jail For Threatening to Kill Local Restaurant Manager

Eli Michael Coffey, 30, was also give four years probation and ordered to attend AA.

A 30-year-old Woodbury man was sentenced to 20 days in jail and four years of probation after being convicted on Feb. 10 of a felony county of making terroristic threats.  Eli Michael Coffey was originally charged with a second felony—pattern of stalking conduct—but Washington County District Court Judge Mary Hannon dismissed that charge in exchange for Coffey's guilty plea. Hannon also ordered Coffey to abstain from alcohol and drug use, attend a six-month Alcoholics Anonymous program and submit to a mental health evaluation.   According to a Washington County summons complaint, Coffey threatened to kill a manager and staff member at the old T.G.I. Maplewood Man Pleads Guilty to Terrorizing, Assaulting Woodbury Girlfriend

Francis Albert Campbell, 40, pleaded guilty to two felonies in exchange for a dismissal of four additional counts against him.

A 40-year-old Maplewood man who pleaded guilty last Friday to two felony domestic violence-related charges is scheduled to be sentenced at 9 a.m. on March 16. Francis Albert Campbell was originally charged with two felonies, two gross misdemeanors and two misdemeanors after a Nov. 10 incident that left his then girlfriend beaten, bruised and bloody. Campbell pleaded guilty in Washington County District Court to making terroristic threats and domestic assault by strangulation in exchange for a dismissal of the four misdemeanors. Campbell also waived his right to a jury trial in the case by virtue of his guilty plea. Fridley, Woodbury Cops Collaborate To Catch Convicted Domestic Abuser

If convicted of the charges against him, David Tim Smith is facing up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Collaborative efforts from Fridley and Woodbury police officers helped catch and arrest Fridley native David Tim Smith, 47, on Dec. 8 after he allegedly committed his third domestic violence-related offense in four years. A criminal history check of Smith revealed a 2009 conviction for felony terroristic threats and a conviction for harassment in 2007.  According to a Washington County criminal complaint filed on Dec. 9:  Smith was staying with his Woodbury girlfriend in the 2100 block of Kings Terrace from Dec. 2-7 to finish a painting project she hired him to do.  According to a post-arrest interview, Smith told police the couple began arguing on or about Dec. 5 and the fighting escalated until Dec. 7, when she ordered him out of her …

Woodbury Man Charged For Allegedly Brandishing Pistol

The 47-year-old told his wife’s ex-husband that he would shoot him, according to the criminal complaint.

A Woodbury man was charged with making terroristic threats in Washington County District Court on July 12 after allegedly brandishing a handgun and threatening to shoot someone. Thomas John McGillis, 47, faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine stemming from charges related to a July 10 incident in Woodbury. According to the criminal complaint: Woodbury police were called to a home at the 2400 block of Queensport Road, where the alleged victim was picking up his daughter for a visitation. After he and his daughter went to the car, he went back to the house to speak with his ex-wife when he was confronted by McGillis, the woman’s new husband. Woodbury Man Charged In Alleged Baseball Bat Attack

A dispute over loud parties and trash between neighbors apparently prompted the alleged incident.

A teenager upset about a dispute with a neighbor that “made his mother cry” has been charged with a felony following an alleged baseball bat attack. Drew Alexander Haggberg, 18, of Woodbury, was recently charged in Washington County District Court with making terroristic threats. On June 14, Woodbury police were dispatched to a townhome at the 1000 block of Regency Drive—where Haggberg lives with his mother—on a report of a fight. The victim, a 48-year-old man who lives in an abutting townhome, had expressed concerns about loud parties and trash left outside, according to the criminal complaint. He had spoken with the boyfriend of Haggberg's mother about the issues. The day of the incident, the older man was pulling out of his driveway …
