ReplyPeople only deserve to be called bigots when they act like bigots. Minnesota law now permits all loving MN couples to marry. We no longer need to discuss a bill under consideration. As the summer goes forward we all have a chance to demonstrate our non-bigoted approach to the marriages of our fellow citizens.

ReplyIt was awfully crowded and heated. I could see with an abundance of caution that a call would be made for the sake of elected officials, city property, and crowd safety.

ReplyWhen Rep Kieffer was part of the majority, she refused to work to implement the Health Insurance Exchange. Now the voters have spoken and and elected leaders who will see to the needs of a broader range of constituents. Time for her to stop whining and start working with the majority to bring access to insurance to more Minnesotans.

Support of the measure shown by Representative Ward and Sen Kent both at the moment of the vote and throughout the discussion were invaluable.
