About Janet

I have been a resident of  Woodbury since 1987.  In Woodbury years, I guess that makes me an old timer.  I have done volunteer work over the years in the schools, with girl scouts, with the community and my church.  My husband works for 3M as do many residents in this community.  My two children, Stephanie and Evan both attended the Woodbury schools. Stephanie went on to St Benedict's College and is currently working for Ernst and Young.  Evan is attending Century College.  I am returning to a love of my earlier years.  I have always loved creating with fabric.  Several years ago I discovered the Textile Center in Minneapolis and a group called Minnesota Contemporary Quilters.  Since that time I have been on a journey to learn as much as possible about the fiber arts.  I started a blog at the time to chronicle the new skills I am learning.  It was a way to keep me motivated, blogging held me a accountable for learning.  I had to learn new skills in order to write a blog about fiber art.  I am really enjoying this journey and hope you enjoy reading about it as well.

Hi,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your
friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:
