Jim Gelbmann, Neighbor

My wife, Mary, and I live in Woodbury.  We have four children, ranging in ages from 15 to 26.  Our two oldest sons are living outside the home, while our two youngest daughters, who were adopted from Cambodia and currently attend Woodbury High School, live at home. 

I am the senior member of the South Washington County School Board, having served the residents of South Washington County for 16 years. 

My "day job" is as Minnesota's Deputy Secretary of State, where I have served the residents of Minnesota for over three years.  Prior to serving as Deputy Secretary of State, I served as a Committee Administrator for the Minnesota House of Representatives, State Director for U.S. Senator Mark Dayton, Executive Director of the Board of Government Innovation and Cooperation, Minnesota's Deputy State Auditor, Director of Intergovernmental Relations for the State of Minnesota, and Assistant Commissioner with the Minnesota Department of Energy and Economic Development.
