Paul Randall has been making art and building things for as long as he can remember. He began painting as a child with paint by number, his first ceramics project was in kindergarten when he made the hand print in clay for his parents, his first camera was a Polaroid “Swinger” and he wasted no time learning to make photographs. Paul studied Art and Mechanical Engineering in college and graduated with a double major. After many years in the corporate world, he decided to return to his roots as an artist. In 2001 he started a design/build remodeling company and in 2005 began work on his pottery and photography studio at his home in Stillwater, MN.

Paul's work has become more than just his art however. After joining Facebook, he became fascinated with how he was meeting and making friends with people from all over the world. He has traveled to meet some of these friends and is teaching ceramics via the internet, to people in other parts of the world as well as in the United States.

The mission of his pottery, The Pottery@Raccoon Highway has evolved into this: "To bring the peoples of the world together through art". Paul writes here on the StillwaterPatch to serve this mission.
