2013 Kids and Family FunFest Coming Up in Woodbury

The Law Enforcement United event features several activities and attractions and raises money for Minnesota officers killed in the line of duty.

Law Enforcement United’s 2013 Kids and Family FunFest is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at Colby Lake Park in Woodbury.

The fundraiser and memorial honors Minnesota officers who were killed in the line of duty and supports their families. Proceeds go to Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS) and Law Enforcement United; both are nonprofit organizations.

The day begins with a Kids Fun Run at 9 a.m., followed by a 5K for the Fallen walk/run and 10K run at 9:20 a.m. The routes will be lined with names of Minnesota’s 231 officers who have died while serving.
