European Wax Center Now Open in Woodbury

It's part of the new developments near SuperTarget; a new McDonald's is now open and Chuck E. Cheese is also on tap for the site.

European Wax Center, part of the Commerce Hill retail developments near SuperTarget, is now open.

Sara Ofstead owns the Woodbury location with Karin Hamerston; they also own the European Wax Center in Roseville.

“Woodbury was actually the first place we wanted to go,” Ofstead said. “We love the community and wanted to be a part of that.”

European Wax Center uses “Comfort Wax,” a hard wax made from natural beeswax, aimed at reducing pain during waxing.

“Our wax is the highest quality wax made in the world,” Ofstead said. “It is patented and made exclusively for us in Paris.”

Waxing packages can be used at any one of 331 locations nationwide. The Woodbury location is the sixth to open in Minnesota.

“We are considered the industry leader in healthy and sanitary body waxing,” Ofstead said. “We offer complimentary waxing services for first-time guests so they can experience our wax and why it’s different. Some restrictions apply.”

European Wax Center will be at Woodbury Days and the Kids and Family Funfest at Colby Lake Park on Aug. 18.
