East Ridge Faces Woodbury in Football Friday

The game is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Woodbury High School.

Woodbury will have its hands full Friday as it takes on crosstown rival East Ridge, the No. 3 ranked Class 6A high school football team in the state.

The game is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Woodbury High School. The stadium will open at 5:30 p.m.

East Ridge is 2-0 on the young season, rolling 48-15 versus White Bear Lake and topping Roseville 42-19.

The Royals, meanwhile, were bested by Mounds View in their opener, but bounced back to beat White Bear Lake 31-29 last week.

The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network will air the game.

Coat Drive

The Woodbury and East Ridge cheer teams, on behalf of the Salvation Army, will collect new or gently worn coats from 6-8 p.m.  

Collection boxes will be at the front gates.

Backpack Notice

As a safety precaution, backpacks of any kind (including smaller string-strapped cinch-sacks) are not allowed at Woodbury High School athletic events. Oversized handbags may be subject to search upon entry.
