Jose Manuel Mejia, of St. Paul Park, faces burglary and assault charges stemming from the July 25 incident.

A St. Paul Park man has been charged with burglary and assault following a July 25 incident in which he allegedly attacked a Woodbury home with a baseball bat and threatened to kill his wife and her boyfriend.

Police arrived at the home, at the 6800 block of Romeo Drive, at about 6:15 p.m. July 25 and found Jose Manuel Mejia, 33, holding a baseball bat. There was damage to the front door and garage service door.

Officers spoke with the homeowner, a woman who is going through a divorce with Mejia, and she told police he was outside screaming and beating on doors with the bat, according to the criminal complaint.
