Woodbury Police Officer Found Not Guilty in Assault Case
Public Safety Chief Lee Vague said the officer has had a spotless record during her 17 years with the department.
A Woodbury police officer was found not guilty on assault allegations stemming from August 2011 incident at a Two Harbors, Minn., hospital, according to the Duluth News Tribune.
Vickie Braman, a 17-year veteran of the Woodbury Police Department, was accused of assaulting a nurse who was trying to remove an IV from the officer’s companion, who was trying to leave the hospital against the advice of doctors, the newspaper reports.
Woodbury Public Safety Chief Lee Vague said Braman has medals of commendation and has never had a complaint lodged against her or disciplinary action taken against her.

“She’s really got a stellar record,” he said.
When Woodbury police first learned of the allegations against the 51-year-old, she was temporarily reassigned, Vague said. Woodbury officials determined the incident was not work-related and she was returned to full duty, he said.

Vague described Braman as very compassionate and an advocate for victims.
A Lake County jury on Monday found her not guilty on assault and disorderly conduct charges, according to the Duluth News Tribune.
