Kyle Todd Brings MMA Title Home to Woodbury

The Woodbury High School grad won the local 165-pound title Saturday, April 28, at the Target Center.

said he wanted to bring the title back to Woodbury.

At the Target Center on Saturday, he did, notching a split-decision victory in the 165-pound weight class against Nick Porras. Check out a round-by-round recap of the fight.

In winning the amateur title, Todd, a former wrestler at , has taken another step forward in his burgeoning mixed-martial arts career.

He told Patch he plans to take the summer off and train and defend the title later this year. Todd said doesn’t plan to go pro for another 6-12 months.
