Coming Up: Woodbury Community Foundation ‘Does a Deal’

It's the year's biggest fundraiser for the Woodbury Community Foundation.

Instead of the Soiree Spooktacular, the Woodbury Community Foundation is putting on “Woodbury Does a Deal” this year for its annual major fundraiser.

“Something different. Something fresh. Something fun,” said Larry Dodge, who is heading up volunteering for the event.

Woodbury Does a Deal is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at the Prom Center in Oakdale.

Tickets cost $60 now and $75 the day of the event. Find more information on the Woodbury Community Foundation website.

The event will have a game show theme, and also feature hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, costume contests, and live and silent auctions.

All proceeds benefit the Woodbury Community Foundation.

“Everything locally in our community,” said Dodge, who is considering dressing as a zombie doctor. “That’s the cool thing about it.”

Bart Chestman (see video) will be hosting the game show.

People can still sign up to volunteer. Contact Dodge at ldodge@cortrustmortgage.com.
