Woodbury gents looking for a shave and a haircut now have a new option in town.

Roosters Men’s Grooming Center opened Monday in the former Blockbuster space at 1960 Donegal Drive.

“Roosters is full-service grooming center committed to the best in men’s personal grooming. It's for men who want an authentic barber experience with a modern twist,” Brian Thomas, in the marketing department with Regis Corp., parent company of Roosters, told Patch this summer.

The Woodbury Roosters is owned by Steve Rusher, a corporate accountant and finance consultant in the Twin Cities area.

“Together with Roosters’ executive team, we searched for two years to find the right location,” he said in a release. “Woodbury is a beautiful residential community that met all of our criteria for the unique services Roosters provides.”

Roosters features oversized leather barber chairs in six semi-private barber stations, and barbers provide a variety of services, including haircuts and shaves with hot towels, and facial massages, the release says.

“I’m really excited with the experienced staff we have in place who look forward to building one-on-one relationships with our customers,” Rusher said.

A Woodbury Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting event for Roosters is set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Roosters is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome.

The barbershop is opening in the former Blockbuster location.

Freeziac also opened in that building earlier this year.

Kosama, an exercise studio, is set to occupy the remaining space there.

Great to have a new business in Woodbury. Thank goodness it is not another furniture store or mattress outlet :). I wish you would have posted something in your article about prices, they don't have any on their website either :(.

I've got the word out for pricing Chris. Sorry, just assumed they'd have it on their site.

My husband is a man of color. Is there anyone there that can cut fades? Or has experience with cutting men of color

They also should really post their hours on their website. This company must not have any retail experience. Hopefully they are too busy being great a hair cuts and shaves.

They are a franchise so the stores set their own hours.

Somebody on our Facebook page said they previously had the wrong hours on the door or something.
