Three Businesses Burglarized at City Walk in Woodbury

The break-ins occurred during the overnight hours of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Burglars broke into three Woodbury businesses during the overnight hours of Tuesday and Wednesday and stole money from the registers, the owners told Patch.

Just Dogs! Gourmet, Nourish and M Studio Flower Affair were among the burglarized businesses, all of which are at the CityWalk development off Woodbury Drive.

“It’s very frustrating,” said Lauren Knott, co-owner of Nourish. “This is a nice area. You don’t expect that.”

Michelle Latulippe, owner of Just Dogs! Gourmet, said the thieves broke her register even though the keys were in it.

“They just took the money and ran,” she said. “The good thing is nobody got hurt.”

The business owners said nothing else was missing aside from the money in the tills, though Latulippe said some “rancid dog treats” were also taken.

Michelle Okada, Woodbury police spokeswoman, said officers are “leaning towards” the likelihood that the same thieves committed the crimes.

She said police are investigating and will be working with area businesses on crime prevention.

Knott said she has told customers who live nearby to keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

Meghan Kelliher, M Studio Flower Affair owner, confirmed that her shop was burglarized and said she was working with a locksmith on Wednesday.

The thieves apparently pried open the front door of each establishment and made off with the cash.
