Fundraiser for Baby Born With Cancer Set for Feb. 17

Jacqueline Carlson, a 3-month-old, has had to endure 10 operations and chemotherapy.

Guardian Angels Catholic Church will host an upcoming fundraiser for Jacqueline Carlson, a baby who has spent the bulk of her young life in intensive care.

Jacqueline was born Nov. 1, 2012, five weeks premature and six days after doctors learned she had a tumor in her left shoulder during an ultrasound, according to her CaringBridge site.

“I was shocked at the size of it, it was right on her shoulder, it was right here and it just looked almost the size of her head, it was huge,” her mother, Tara Carlson, told KSTP.
