Halloween at Woodbury’s Stonemill Farms: ‘Like Disneyworld’

The neighborhood gets into the Halloween spirit each October.

In Woodbury’s Stonemill Farms neighborhood Wednesday night, Brian Larson and some of his neighbors were enjoying a fire and watching their kids run around in costumes for Halloween.

Included in the group were his parents, who come to Woodbury from Iron Mountain, Mich., each Halloween to help celebrate.

“They say it’s like Disneyworld, with all the kids,” Larson said.

His family usually invites neighbors over for Halloween, which is one of the last chances to get together and have a fire before the cold weather hits, he said.

“People tend to hibernate in the winter,” Larson said.

Stonemill Farms—primarily a neighborhood of families—gets into the spirit each Halloween, he said. And it's fun for all ages.

“Every year the kids get candy and the dads get a beer,” he said.

The group was having a fire in the Larsons’ driveway, with many of the parents dressed up, as well.

Larson, however, had just gotten back from work and wasn’t wearing a costume.

“I was going to dress up as that Gangnam Style guy, but my neighbor beat me to it,” he said.
