Woodbury Residents Among Those Waving Flags Over I-94 for 9/11 Anniversary

Fire trucks, and other emergency vehicles, drove under the bridge on Interstate 94 at 4 p.m.

Paul Rode and friends on Wednesday, Sept. 11, were once again waving flags on the Stagecoach Trail overpass on Interstate 94 to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

And Woodbury residents were among those holding up the stars and stripes for passing cars, according to Kelly Fenton.

Rode was so moved by the events of Sept. 11, 2001, that he went out, bought an American flag and began waving it on a freeway overpass—and has done it every year since.
