Residents came out to see the latest addition of the Merrill Community Arts Center, a black-box theater at East Ridge High School, during a Feb. 22 grand opening.
The event —called “A Celebration of the HeART”—featured an ensemble from the East Metro Symphony Orchestra, a silent auction, and a display of local arts history.
The black-box theater marks the second phase of the Merrill Community Arts Center, following the summer 2012 opening of the arts center’s Rivertown Campus.
