Aldi to Open Grocery Store in Woodbury

The discount grocery chain is set to open in the former Borders location this fall.

Aldi is coming to Woodbury.

The discount grocer has reached an agreement to lease location at 8472 Tamarack Bay, according to a spokesperson from Aldi’s public relations firm.

Construction is slated to begin in the middle of June and the anticipated grand opening date is late September or early October 2012, the spokesperson told Patch.

Aldi, known for its low prices, has more than 1,000 stores in 31 states, according to its website. Nearly 95 percent of its products are sold under exclusive Aldi brands.
