Torrid, a clothing store for women who wear sizes 12 to 26, is planning to open in Woodbury’s Tamarack Village next month.

The signs are already up on the exterior of the store, located at 8278 Tamarack Village, suite 314. There are four other Torrid stores in Minnesota.

Patch asked Jennifer Vides, director of brand and communications for Hot Topic, Inc., about the new Woodbury store.

Patch: Why did you choose Woodbury?

Vides: We choose our locations based upon customer demographics and online sales in those areas.

Patch: When do you plan to open?

Vides: The store opens April 10, 2013, with a grand opening celebration set for April 13, 2013.

Patch: How many people do you plan to hire?

Vides: On average we hire 10-12 employees, management included.

Patch: Anything else you’d like to add?

Vides: Join us for our grand opening celebration on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. for special offers and a $500 sweepstakes. The first 50 customers will receive a mystery gift card worth up to $100.
