Woodbury’s Collectors Gallery is Now La Vie Boutique

The change will be celebrated at grand reopening events this weekend.

Collectors Gallery has been at Tamarack Village for about 16 years.

“Over the years, we’ve changed our product mix,” said Karen Runze, store manager.

To better reflect those changes, the store is changing its name to La Vie boutique, and will celebrate the new name during reopening events Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27.

Instead of collectibles, the store now carries more fashion accessories and jewelry, Runze said, and the name change is just a way of “catching up.”

New products at the shop over the years were primarily driven by customer demand, she said.

The space, at 8306 Tamarack Village, has been updated, and new displays were being installed this week.

La Vie offers “fun, exciting lines,” said Runze, whose husband and father-in-law founded the company 31 years ago. “And we’re always on a mission to find more.”

A ribbon cutting is set for 9:30 a.m. Friday, and the events this weekend will include refreshments, door prizes and gift-with-purchase specials, she said.

People will be able to check out the new products and see the new-look store, “which is fabulous,” Runze said.

La Vie is French for “the life.”

New lines include Spartina 449 and Nora Flemming, and Alex and Ani will be offered next month.

“We delight in scouring markets around the country to bring you, our loyal guests, the very best merchandise at a great value,” Runze, said in a release. “‘It’s your life, live it in style,’ is our motto.”
