College Grads, Scholars From Woodbury

UW-Stout

Several students from Woodbury graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in December 2011. They are:

  • Sean Wilson, B.S. manufacturing engineering. Wilson is a graduate of Woodbury High School.
  • Michael Dannenbring, B.S. business administration. Dannenbring is a graduate of Woodbury High School.
  • Amanda Melendez, B.S. food systems and technology. Melendez is a graduate of Woodbury High School.
  • Alexandra Ponschok, B.S. business administration. Ponschok is a graduate of North High School.
  • Brittney Tschida, B.S. hotel restaurant and tourism. Tschida is a graduate of Woodbury High School. 

St. Scholastica

Several students from Woodbury graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth on Dec. 17, 2011. They are:

Kansas

Katharine Elizabeth Walter, of Woodbury, graduated from the University of Kansas in fall 2011 with a psychology minor and bachelor of general studies/communication Studies.

Washington University

Kyusik Kim, of Woodbury, made the fall 2011 dean’s list (GPA 3.5 or better) at Washington University in St. Louis. Kim is a graduate of East Ridge High School and is enrolled in the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

Alexander Joseph Petronio, of Woodbury, made the fall 2011 dean’s list (GPA 3.5 or better) at Washington University in St. Louis. Petronio is a graduate of St. Paul Academy and is enrolled in the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

UW-River Falls

Several students from Woodbury earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in December 2011. They are:

  • Crystal Sparkman, B.S. - Liberal Arts degree with a major in physics.
  • Nicole Ostrom, B.S. - Liberal Arts degree with a major in marketing communications.
  • Sean Grainger, B.S. - Liberal Arts degree with a major in physics.
  • Ashley Engh, B.S. - College of Business & Economics degree with a major in accounting and received cum laude honors.
  • Kerynda Reardon, Master of Science - Education degree with a major in reading.
  • Michael Olson, B.S. - College of Business & Economics degree with a major in business administration.
  • Mae Jagodzinski, B.S. - Secondary Education degree with a major in art education.
  • Marwa Mohamed, B.S. - Liberal Arts degree with a major in journalism.
  • Kristin Krueger, Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Shawn Stromath, B.S. - College of Business & Economics degree with a major in business administration.

Buena Vista

ROTC cadets at Buena Vista University (BVU) will be spending three weeks in other countries this summer to learn about the cultures and military forces in those nations. Among them is Corey Hannula, an athletic training major from Woodberry. Hannula is heading to Bosnia.

Gonzaga

Patrick Hoversten, of Woodbury, has earned placement on the Gonzaga University President's List (GPA 3.7-4.0) for fall semester 2011.
