Report: Bicyclist Hit by Car on Valley Creek Road

The cyclist sustained minor injuries, according to a Woodbury Bulletin report.

The driver who hit a bicyclist along Valley Creek Road on Friday afternoon won’t likely be charged, according to a Woodbury Bulletin story.

The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m., the report says, and the cyclist, a 37-year-old St. Paul man, was hospitalized with minor injures. The motorist, a 49-year-old woman from Woodbury, reported the crash, the Bulletin report said.

@JohnNemoPR at about 3:40 p.m. tweeted:

@WoodburyPatch serious accident on valley creek road right outside of target. Looks like a car hit a pedestrian on a bicycle. Just FYI.

At 4:51 p.m. Friday, Beth on the Woodbury Patch Facebook page reported:

There is an accident at Valley Creek and Queens. Somebody is being transported by EMS.

If anyone knows the gentleman who held on to my bicycle for me while I went to the hospital, please have him contact me at smithdat@hotmail.com. He gave me his card, but I was sweating and bleeding and scared, so I misplaced it.

Damion, I just posted this on our Facebook page and Twitter, so hopefully someone will help you track him down. How are you feeling?

I'm fine, just scraped up, healing quickly. Thanks for your concern.

Good to hear Damion. Someone on the Facebook page asked if you'd checked with the PD about the guy.

I called earlier and the person in charge of knowing things had just left for the day. So I'll call back tomorrow morning. (I hope it's not too broken, I like that bike) :)

Got it Damion, good luck!

Got my bike, the wheels are bent, so I'll have to replace them, but the frame is fine. It seems that both me and my bike got out of this whole incident better than most anyone could've hoped for. Thanks for you help.

Sounds good Damion, just glad you're OK.
