Keeping Active Through the Dog Days of Summer

Don't let the dog days of summer be an excuse to skip your normal fitness routine.

How can it already be the middle of July? Seems like another summer is slipping by so fast!

I hope that you have been able to keep up with your fitness goals during the first part of summer. The summer can be an excuse to relax a bit on our normal routine, but I am here to encourage you to be active at least 3 times a week.

I have really been enjoying the cool mornings that we have had this week. Not only is the weather more agreeable for a workout, but you are more likely to complete your workout if you schedule it for first thing in the morning

Having a fitness goal will also keep you motivated to continue with your workouts even when the lazy days of summer beckon. I am excited to be participating in my first 5K at the end of August. I have a wonderful group of supportive women that will also be joining me. What a great way to end the summer and celebrate a new fitness goal!
