Two Years Old Already!

Two years ago we welcomed our little boy into the world. I can't believe how fast those first two years went by!

“Kids grow up so fast!”

How many times has somebody told you this? And then you have your own children and you realize very quickly how true this statement is! I can’t believe that we will be celebrating Evan’s second birthday on Saturday. Could two years really have gone by already?

So much growing, learning, and developing occurs during those first two years.  I look at baby pictures and try to remember that tiny little boy that couldn’t even hold his head. The sleepless nights, constant feedings and diaper changes really make those first few months a blur.

Then you start to notice your little baby is developing a personality and is starting to grow into their individual self. They quickly sprout into a walk, talking, opinionated, house destroying machine.

With every stage and age there are challenges and rewards. I try to embrace each new milestone that we hit even though it is hard not to become a little sad to be losing my baby. I look forward to all the growing up that Evan still has ahead of him and try to remember that he will always be my little boy, no matter how old.

I would love to hear what stages and ages you enjoyed the most or couldn’t wait to be done with.
