5K to Honor Memory of Danielle Jelinek, Raise Funds for Domestic Abuse Project

The event will be held this weekend at Colby Lake Park in Woodbury.

An upcoming 5K run/walk will honor the memory of Danielle Jelinek, whose body was recovered in May after she went missing in December 2012.

The 5K for Dani J, set for 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Colby Lake Park in Woodbury, will also raise money for the Minnesota branch of the Domestic Abuse Project (DAP) in Jelinek’s name.

Her body was found in Chisago County a few hundred yards from the home of Aaron Schnagl, a former boyfriend who has been considered a person of interest in the case.
