Bike Rides And Ball Games

Bike rides and Ball Games

The gym was much better today! No pinching! After the gym I took baby on a bike ride in our new Croozer bike trailer. She absolutely loves it!

I opted today to ride around Powers Lake, we recently moved to Woodbury and I had yet to make it over there yet. I must say that it is just beautiful! The lake itself was sparkling today and there were a number of neat birds to be seen. I spent most of my time riding with my mouth hanging open at the HUGE houses. Did I mention that they are huge? I managed to cough out a few bugs as a result.

There were a few people out walking around but for the most part it was pretty quite, a little nerve racking given the not too long ago. Being a police wife has taught me to be very aware of my surroundings and watch for anything that may appear to be out of the norm. But all was good today.

I have to say that I am really loving Woodbury now that the weather is getting nicer and all the trails make getting in a workout that much easier. People smile and say hello to you, much different than the few trails in Saint Paul I have been on.

Tonight was softball and baseball games and all the taxi trips to take kids here and there. Both games got called early because of the lightning, which of course set off whines of "aww man, why do we have to stop? I didn't see any lightning, did you?" To which the coach responded " I don't think any of you really want to get curly hair from a lightning strike do you?"

And not surprisingly some of the girls thought it would be great to get curly hair.

On the drive to drop off a team mate the girls spent their time complaining about how they never get to finish their games because of weather or because its too dark and it always happens when they are a point behind resulting in the other team winning. If this is what pre-teen angst is like, I can't wait for the teen drama... Oh wait, I already get that with my 13 year old!
