Arson Suspected In Woodbury Christmas Wreath Fire

Residents at the home were able to put it out; police have no suspects at this time.

Arson is suspected in a Christmas wreath and planter fire that broke out at a home at the 1000 block of Regency Drive on Jan. 6.

Residents at the home saw a glow coming from their porch around 10:30 p.m. that evening, said Detective Sgt. Brett Billmeyer with the .

The occupants attempted to put out the fire with an extinguisher, but were unsuccessful. They eventually doused the flames with buckets of water.

The was not called, Billmeyer said, and the incident was reported to police the next day.

Police have no suspects and there were no witnesses. A police report says officers planned to do extra patrols in the area.

Residents also told police a potted plant near the home’s garage was knocked over.
