Authorities Shoot 2,000-Pound Bull Running Loose in Woodbury
The animal caused a crash Wednesday morning along Manning Avenue.
A 2,000-pound bull that had been “running freely” since Tuesday night was shot and killed by authorities Wednesday morning.
The bull had been running back and forth across Manning Avenue, in and out of cornfields, when it caused a crash near Hudson Road, according to Woodbury officer Scott Melander, who was at the scene at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. A sheriff’s deputy also nearly hit the animal, he said.
The owner of the bull requested help in dispatching the animal. Tranquilizers hadn’t worked to slow the bull down, Melander said.
