Car Fire at Woodbury Target

No one was hurt as crews put out the fire the afternoon of Monday, April 1.

A car in the parking lot of the Woodbury Target was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived a little after 4:20 p.m. Monday, April 1.

“The car was totaled,” said Woodbury Fire Cmdr. John Wallgren.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said. The smell of smoke and burned materials still hung in the air at about 5:20 p.m. Monday.

The vehicle’s engine caught fire and smoke was billowing from the car, but crews were able to keep adjacent vehicles from being damaged, Wallgren said.

No one was hurt in the incident.
