Man Robs Subway Near Woodbury Drive

The man came in and demanded money, and "implied" he had a weapon but did not brandish one, according to police.

A man walked into Subway, indicated that he had a weapon and made off with cash during a Sunday night robbery in Woodbury.

Police at 8:16 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, got the call about the robbery at the Subway on Norma Lane, near Hudson Road and Woodbury Drive, said Cmdr. John Altman.

The man came in and demanded money, and “implied” he had a weapon but did not brandish one, Altman told Patch.

The suspect is described as a black man with gray in his beard/goatee, about 5-foot-9 and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with no markings and black sweatpants, Altman said.

He fled on foot after the robbery, and police were unable to locate him.

The case remains under investigation.
