Man Sentenced in Woodbury Cocaine Deal

A 12-pack of Corona was also part of the deal.

A St. Paul man was sentenced to 10 years of probation following his conviction for dealing cocaine in Woodbury in August 2012.

Veasna Phan, 31, was arrested Aug. 15, 2012, after the Washington County Narcotics Task for broke up a drug deal near the SuperAmerica on Lake Road Terrace.

Phan and the buyer initially agreed to meet at the gas station, but Phan thought it was “too hot” and demanded the buyer go into a liquor and purchase a 12-pack of Corona, according to the complaint.

The two later did the deal for $385—the cost of the cocaine minus the cost of the beer. The drugs, with a packaged weight of 4.6 grams, later tested positive for cocaine.
