Quiet Fourth of July for Woodbury Police

There were a couple of small fires, but nothing major.

Woodbury police received several complaints about fireworks on the Fourth of July, but it was an otherwise quiet night for authorities.

“Last night was not overly busy, for a Fourth of July especially,” said Woodbury Police Sgt. Brett Billmeyer.

There was a small cardboard box that caught fire around midnight at Tamarack and Weir drives, but it was quickly extinguished.

Another fire started in a driveway at the 2300 block of Golf Drive, but that too was minor, Billmeyer said.

No one was taken into custody during the holiday.
