A 45-year-old Woodbury woman was taken to detox after she was found riding her bicycle around Stillwater’s Birchwood Apartments in her underwear and apparently calling the complex a “ghetto.”

Stillwater police at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, were called to the area on a report of a woman causing a disturbance in the apartments’ courtyard.

“When I arrived on scene, I was on the north side of Birchwood near Oak Park Elementary School and I observed an adult female wearing what appeared to be a blue bikini, but I believe was just a bra and underwear,” the officer’s account of the incident reads. “She was riding a bike, and by the way she was acting and talking, she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.”

The woman told police she had been riding her bike through the area, and made some comments to mothers in the vicinity, “possibly calling the apartment complex a ghetto.”

“I did not perform a pat search as I could clearly see she was not concealing any weapons or contraband due to the minimal amount of clothing she had on,” the officer reported. “She put her own seatbelt on.”

The woman was not charged with a crime.
