Spit in Sandwich?, Tanning Bed Peeping Tom, ‘Bud’ Bath & Beyond: Woodbury Police Blotter

Selected calls to the Woodbury Public Safety Department from March 12-18.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

March 12

Police were called about a garage burglary on Collingwood Lane. A resident reported that $770 worth of tools had been stolen.

A registration check at the Red Roof Inn showed a man who had a warrant out for his arrest in Washington County. Police apprehended the man without incident and he was transported to the Washington County Jail.

A couple asked police to contact a woman after seeing her vehicle parked across two stalls in the lot at Target.

March 13

A woman told police that a male employee came into her tanning room at Xperience Fitness while she was nude on a tanning bed. She saw the man at the foot of the tanning bed, and he ducked down when she noticed him. Police made contact with the man, who said he was in the room to clean. He was arrested and booked at the Washington County Jail pending formal charges.

March 14

An employee at Subway called police about an irate man following an issue with his wife’s sandwich. He thought a worker had spit in her food. He then threw the sandwich on the ground. Police made contact with the man, who was cooperative, but was issued a trespass notice for the City Centre sandwich shop.

Woman whose 2012 tax return had been accidentally deposited into her roommate’s account by H&R Block contacted police after a year’s worth of unsuccessful attempts to remedy the situation. Officers advised her to continue to work with US Bank on the matter.

Police issued three underage-drinking citations after responding to a call about party.

An officer spotted a verbal domestic between a boyfriend and girlfriend—the issue started over information on one of their phones. Other than unlocking their vehicle, there was no further police assistance needed.

Police were called about a harassment report—a woman said a man had followed her to the lot at City Hall. Officers interviewed the man and woman, both of whom had injuries. The man was placed under arrest, but during an interview with police she admitted she had lied to officers. She was then taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

March 15

A woman reported that another motorist was following her and yelling at her, but police were unable to locate the individual.

Workers at Champps Americana called police after two females, approximately 16-20 years old, paid with two counterfeit $20 bills and quickly left the restaurant. Surveillance video was sent to police.

March 16

An officer spotted a vehicle driving carelessly in the parking lot of Life Time Fitness and conducted a traffic stop. The driver showed signs of impairment and registered a .14 on a preliminary breath test.

There was a report of people smoking marijuana in a car near Bed Bath & Beyond, but no one was in the vehicle when officers arrived.

March 17

Police were called about a man urinating between cars in the parking lot of Target. Officers made contact with the man’s mother, who reported that he has autism and would speak with him about his behavior.

March 18

A woman called police after a vehicle was following her on her drive home from work. The car followed her through several turns and lane changes, and eventually stopped following after making a U-turn near SuperTarget. She said she has not had any problems with anyone of late.
